Over this three-week immersive workshop, you will journey from the fascinating heritage of the craft to mastering the intricate coiling stitches needed to shape one-of-a-kind baskets you’ll be proud to display or gift.
We’ll dive into a variety of traditional stitches and techniques while unraveling the deep Southeastern roots of using longleaf pine as an ideal natural medium. We provide all the raw materials to get you started, just bring your curiosity and a favorite pair of craft scissors! Guided weekly instruction gives you the foundation and confidence to practice your stitches at home between sessions, ensuring you cross the finish line in Week 3 with a fully completed, hand-crafted basket.
