Friday Night Clay: Falling Leaves Chime October 23

1 Friday, October 23, 6-8pm

Skill Level: All Skill Levels, ages 18 and up

Instructor: Ann-Marie Hutton

SUPPLIES: All supplies are included in the tuition

More about the class:

Welcome the autumn breeze with a relaxed evening in the studio handcrafting a custom ceramic wind chime. Inspired by the gentle tumble of seasonal foliage, this workshop guides you through cutting, texturing, and shaping individual clay leaf charms along with a central hanging top piece to create a soothing, rustic piece of outdoor art for your porch or garden.

No prior pottery experience is needed as you explore simple slab-building, cutting, and carving techniques to bring your leaves to life. You will learn how to carve or stamp intricate vein details, shape organic contours, and pierce secure hanging holes into every piece before selecting vibrant autumn glazes from our studio palette to make your leaves pop.

All clay, tools, glazes, stringing materials, and double-firing services are included. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting a little clay on. Following the session, our studio team will handle the drying, glazing, firing and assembly. 🗓️ Pick-Up Info: Your masterpieces will be ready for pickup 3 weeks from the class date. Please call or email the studio to schedule your pickup time. (If the kiln gods smile upon us and they are ready early, we will shoot you a notification email!)
