More About the Class: You’ve mastered the basics, you know your way around a palette, and you’re ready for more. Welcome to the next level of your artistic evolution. This intermediate masterclass is designed to push your boundaries and transform the way you interact with the canvas. Moving past the fundamentals, this session is deeply collaborative and individually tailored to your specific artistic goals. This isn't a class of rigid, generalized exercises, it is a student-led environment where your unique challenges drive our live demonstrations, giving you real-time breakthroughs right when you need them.
We are diving deep into the tactile, dynamic world of paint application to give your work breathtaking depth and dimension. You will learn to break away from flat surfaces and explore advanced paint manipulation, from the subtle nuances of scrubbing and scumbling to building rich, three-dimensional textures. We will also master the power of edges, showing you how to wield a palette knife to slash sharp, dramatic lines, create buttery smooth surfaces, and strategically manipulate color to inject atmosphere and undeniable impact into your paintings.
This advanced studio experience is crafted for adults and young creatives ages 16 and up who already have a solid foundation in the fundamentals of oil painting.
