More about the Class: There is something timeless about a lighthouse it's a sturdy guardian standing against the shifting tides and a symbol of hope for those at sea. In this immersive watercolor workshop, we go beyond the surface to capture the history, mood, and weather-worn textures of these iconic beacons.
You will follow a professional, start-to-finish demonstration that demystifies the painting process, moving fluidly from the initial pencil sketch to the final atmospheric wash. As the painting develops, you’ll discover the art of the "glow" by mixing vibrant colors to balance light and shadow. We will dive deep into specialized techniques like masking to preserve crisp highlights and dry-brushing to mimic the rugged stone and crashing spray of the coastline.
By manipulating washes to evoke a specific moment in time, you’ll learn how to transform a simple landscape into a powerful, moody masterpiece. Whether you’re looking to sharpen your technical skills or simply escape into the creative flow of the sea, this class offers the perfect environment to find your light.
Your full supply list will be provided immediately upon registration.
