More about the Class: Imagine a day at the seashore—the scent of salt air, the weathered texture of driftwood, and the intricate curves of a sun-bleached shell. In this immersive workshop, we’re bringing the coast into the studio. Each student will curate their own personal summer still life from a collection of beach treasures, using them as the centerpiece for a journey into the light and color of the coast.
Under the guidance of a professional watercolorist with over forty years of experience, you will learn to translate the rugged and the delicate onto paper. You’ll build newfound confidence in layering color upon color to achieve rich, luminous depth, while mastering specialized techniques to render the unique textures of sand, wood, and sea glass.
Through a relaxed, step-by-step approach—covering everything from fluid washes to the precision of masking—you will develop a true understanding of this versatile medium. Whether you are a beginner or looking to refine your style, this class provides the expert foundation needed to achieve exciting, professional results. Come find your flow and leave with a piece of the coast to keep forever. *Supply list provided upon registration.
