Through engaging exercises and creative exploration, you'll learn to craft your own original poems which you will then reimagine into an airbrushed artwork. Imagine a vibrant airbrushed landscape that hints at a hidden sorrow, accompanied by a poem that eloquently articulates that very feeling. Or perhaps a portrait that captures a fleeting expression, amplified by verses that delve into the subject's inner world. You’ll be challenged to consider the unsaid, the unseen, and the emotional depths that a painting alone might not convey.

The core concept of this class is the symbiotic relationship between language and art: where the painting speaks volumes in color and form, and the poem whispers the secrets held within. You'll discover how each medium can elevate the other, creating a truly compelling and multi-layered artistic expression. Get ready to transform both your visual and literary artistry in this exciting and innovative course taught by Dylan Smeak!

Much like the hazy effect produced by the airbrush, this course will explore the hazy area where words become symbols. Come learn the basics of airbrushing while exploring your own understandings of language and its usage.
