Friday Night Clay: Ceramic Bird Feeders

1 Friday, August 14, 6-8pm

Skill Level: All Skill Levels, ages 18 and up

Instructor: Ann-Marie Hutton

SUPPLIES: All supplies are included in the tuition

More about the class:

Unwind from the workweek and get your hands muddy with a fun, creative evening at the studio! In this relaxed workshop, you’ll learn the tactile art of hand-building to sculpt a beautiful, functional ceramic bird feeder from scratch.

Using simple slab and pinch techniques, our instructor will guide you step-by-step as you shape the perfect feeding perch. You'll have total freedom to personalize your design, whether you want to carve whimsical leaf textures into the clay, stamp it with geometric patterns, or cut out elegant windows for the seeds. It’s a grounding way to spend a Friday night and bring a touch of handmade charm to your garden, patio, or window view.

Once your masterpiece is built and you've selected a color from our studio glaze selection, you get to leave the finishing to us. We will carefully dry, double-fire, and glaze your feeder so it's fully durable and ready for the elements. Spaces fill up fast, so grab a friend or come solo to meet fellow makers, and reserve your spot today!

🗓️ Pick-Up Info: Your masterpieces will be ready for pickup 3 weeks from the class date. Please call or email the studio to schedule your pickup time. (If the kiln gods smile upon us and they are ready early, we will shoot you a notification email!)
