Snap Judgement: Intuition in Bricolage

1 Saturday, March 21, 1 - 5pm

Stop overthinking and start assembling with bricolage, the art of mixed media sculpture. In this fast-paced, high-energy workshop, we strip away the preciousness of the "perfect" plan to make room for pure intuition. You’ll arrive with a single spark—a word, a feeling, or a vision—and immediately dive into a curated chaos of materials.

Students will navigate the space between a starting idea and the physical reality of the materials available. By prioritizing intuition over hesitation, you’ll discover how to connect varied elements into a singular, meaningful whole. Bring your sketchbook, any materials you find intriguing, and a willingness to find the details within the process itself. Students are encouraged to bring in materials found in nature such as sticks, vines, grass, flowers, etc.
