OYSTERS ON TELFAIR

Annual Fundraiser for the Arts at GHIA

Thank you for helping us celebrate 20 years of Oysters on Telfair!

Augusta’s favorite arts fundraiser was hosted once again on Thursday, November 6 at the Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art in downtown Augusta, Georgia. Guests enjoyed an art auction featuring work by local artists, delicious cajun cuisine by Tastefully Yours, oysters, an open bar, and live entertainment in the gardens and galleries of the GHIA.

Event proceeds will help us address funding shortages, in part due to the impact of Hurricane Helene on our region, as well as budget cuts to national arts programs such as the NEA. To learn more about the impact of the storm, click here.

Oyster Roast with Live Music

Each year, guests at the annual Oysters on Telfair rave about the food buffet, which features oysters and southern fare by a local restaurant team. They also enjoy the live music provided by the Crosstie Walkers, and the open bar, which is included in the price of tickets.

Get your dancing shoes on and come join us at this year’s event!

Art Party, Auction, Fundraiser

Each year we gather in the gardens and galleries of GHIA for our biggest event of the year, Oysters on Telfair. The event is a fundraiser for the programs of the Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art. Ticket proceeds, winning auction bids, sponsorships and raffle purchases all help sustain our efforts in arts education, exhibition, and community outreach.
