Thoughtful Spontaneity
On view from January 5 - February 16, 2024 in the Creel-Harison Gallery. The opening reception will be January 5 from 5-7pm and is free to the public.
“Thoughtful Spontaneity” is a walk inside my art studio and practice. Over the past 2 years I have been exposed to a multitude of creative stimuli. As a result, my role in the creative process has evolved. This collection will take the viewer through my journey and showcase how experiences reveal themselves in my work. I plan to exhibit a variety of pieces (monoprints, collages, and figurative drawings) that highlight the influential people and places I have encountered. My approach to art-making is intuitive, yet contemplative which will be exemplified by complex collages and simple line drawings. - Leslie Hamrick
