Creel-Harison Prospectus

Creel-Harison Community Gallery

Unveiled in September 2009, this community gallery was created through a generous gift by the Creel-Harison Foundation in response to a significant need for exhibition space for regional artists. Artists residing in the greater Augusta area are invited to submit a proposal for a solo exhibition. The Creel-Harison Community Art Gallery is open to all Artist members of the Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art who live in the CSRA. All works must be original and not previously exhibited at the Gertrude Herbert.

North and South Galleries

The North and South Galleries are located on the third floor of Ware’s Folly. The spaces are primarily used for student exhibitions, including senior exit shows from art departments at secondary and higher education institutions.

First Floor Gallery (Ware’s Folly), Walker-Mackenzie Studio Gallery

Both the first floor of Ware’s Folly and the gallery spaces in the Walker-Mackenzie Studio are used for rotating student and faculty exhibitions throughout the year. Such exhibitions include the Agnes Markwalter Youth Art Competition and exhibitions of work by students participating in GHIA’s outreach education programs.

To submit a proposal for any of the Community Galleries, please download the prospectus located at the bottom of this page.
