Spring Quarter 3D/Fiber Classes
ENVIRONMENTAL MAGIC IN CLAY (Ages 5 - 6)

Students will create a variety of clay projects that focus on our natural and personal environment. Projects will range from a replication of endangered animals to imaginative recycling of clay scraps. Designs will be created with colorful, lead-free glazes and fired to complete the process. Students must provide a clean towel each week, No extra supplies will be necessary.

DISCOVERING AFRICA (Ages 7 – 9)

This class will give students a sense of African crafts and culture. The instructor, having lived in Africa for most of her life, will share her knowledge and appreciation for the continent’s rich cultural heritage. Each class will include instruction in a different craft, starting with mud cloth, then moving to a traditional African clay bowl and ending with a lesson in cooking various African foods. Come learn about another culture and all it has to offer. All supplies will be provided.
