Summer Quarter 3D/Fiber Classes


A CRITTER AND ITS HABITAT (Ages 5 – 8) - Janine Cawthorne

Students will explore hand-built clay techniques as they create an imaginative critter followed by the making of an environmental habitat where it will find a home. The elements of shape, form, line, texture and color will be included in the lessons as well as collage techniques that will be used in creating the habitat. All supplies will be provided.

STUDIO EXPLORERS: RIB-CONSTRUCTED BASKETRY TO PRINTMAKING (Ages 9 – 12) - Dorothy Eckmann
Monday – Friday, July 12 – 16, 2010

Students will enjoy learning the history and methods of creating a small traditional Appalachian basket in this class. They will also explore creative projects in paper and printmaking arts that will fill the basket. All supplies will be provided.
