Summer Art Camp
SUMMER ART CAMP
Meaningful Words: Artful Interpretation is the theme students
will explore this summer as they are introduced to the written word
as inspiration for creative thinking. Poems such as Shel
Silverstein’s “Backward Bill” will serve as a source for ideas that
will be interpreted in imagery by making works of art through
drawing, painting and sculpture. Instruction will include the use of
color, line, shape and form, space and texture as it applies to the
three art concentrations offered throughout the summer sessions.
All Summer Art Camp sessions will meet Monday – Friday from 10 a.m.
– 12 p.m. Students may choose to register for any single week, or
attend all sessions for a more comprehensive introduction to the
visual arts. All supplies will be provided by the Institute.
