SILK DYE PAINTING WORKSHOP
An introductory class into the world of silk painting using 'gutta' (serti technique). The Serti Technique was originated in French which means closing or fence. This technique is a method of silk painting where designs are outlined with gutta (rubber or water base resists). The Gutta will act as a barrier for the silk dyes/ paints from spreading and bleeding from one area to another. This technique will allow you to have full control of your dyes ( colors). It will also enable you to achieve sharply defined borders in your designs.
