PAINTING THE STILL LIFE PAINTING, OUTDOORS

At each of the four class sessions, students will start and finish a still life painting, working outdoors, with individualized guidance and instruction.  Subjects will be flower, fruit, and/or vegetable arrangements but may also be "intimate landscapes;" i.e., porch scenes, garden walls, etc.

General goals:  Students will learn to work fast and loose, making quick decisions about subject matter, composition, colors, values, etc. and working rapidly to execute a painting before the daylight changes or time runs out.

*This class is not suitable for beginning students    *A French easel or other kind of portable easel is strongly recommended
