INTRODUCTION TO COLD WAX WORKSHOP

This class is for the student that is interested in learning about painting with cold wax. During this one day demonstration/workshop students will learn how to create artwork with beautiful layers, textures and color. Oil and cold wax is unlike any other fine art medium in its potential for gorgeous color, ease of use and interesting effects. Unlike encaustic, which is a hot wax method that demands good ventilation and special equipment in the studio, cold wax medium is non-toxic and used at room temperature. In this introductory, technique-driven workshop students will learn the basics of working with cold wax and more. Get ready to explore this amazing medium. 

General supplies are provided but students are welcome to bring in additional brushes, brush cleaners, and oil paint assortments.
